We made it and thank you

Dear everyone,

We made it to John O’Groats, thank you for your support, prayers, encouragements and sponsorship. As I sit here back at home it was all worth it, a great adventure and tremendous time.

For the last two days the weather was kind and the roads increasing quiet as we ventured through the North of Scotland and enjoyed stunning scenery.

Overall we started in Lands End on 26th May and reached John O’groats 14 days later on 06 June, 11 riders started and all 11 finished (three female and eight male), our ages range from 37 to 61, we covered 1,034 miles, our shortest day was 40 miles and longest 96, we had 13 punctures and a couple of mechanical failures, we got lost twice and two of our riders were involved in a minor accident (they ran into each other!), we took part in three presentations along the way, we encountered rain, heavy rain and torrential rain, wind, more wind, sunshine and blue sky (but not at the same time), we climbed countless hills and descended just as many and in the end were still speaking to each other, and overall we all kept fit and well – praise God.

So thank you again for your comments and interest both in the ride itself and the work of Toybox. Thank you also for everyone who supported us on the way, the people we met and your encouragements; you have been an inspiration to us.
