Here at Toybox, prayer is central to everything we do. It is so important that the children we work with are supported through prayer; especially at Christmas time.

Below are some prayer pointers to give you an idea of areas that need particular prayer. These are just ideas, so do be as creative as you like! If you sponsor a child you could add a prayer for them. Every prayer is valued!

If you need a pointer…

• Pray for those children that are on the streets; locked into a gang culture, addicted to drugs, abused or taken advantage of by adults.
• Pray for the vulnerable children of Bolivia, Guatemala and Peru whose home life is often violent and scary, and for those who live in prisons.
• Give thanks for every child that Toybox has been able to reach and work with so far. Ask that the Lord would continue to bring about change in these precious children, bringing them closer every day to all that He intends them to be.
• Pray that the children we work with will begin to know their worth and value, that they will feel empowered and their voices will be heard.
• Ask for strength in our partners work on the ground, as they seek to meet the children where they are and be a light in the darkness to them.
• Pray that the UK government will take notice of the needs of street children in Latin America, and not neglect them. (You could also sign the petition online and turn your prayer into an action – click here).
• Your needs: every day at 10.30am we pray in the Toybox office. We would love to pray for you, our supporters, as you are so important to the work of Toybox! So please do add any prayer needs you might have.

We want to collect as many prayers as we can, so do send a link to this page on to your friends and encourage them to add a prayer too. Together we can create a prayer chain that can change the world for street children.
