We developed the Child Ambassador Scheme as a unique way for our supporters to be able to give regularly and keep in contact with our Red Alert projects throughout Latin America. The scheme was created using years of experience gained from working with street children in the developing world. Many street children are hard to reach with traditional forms of sponsorship as they live in unstable environments. The Child Ambassador Scheme has been specifically designed to overcome this problem.

How does it work?

Sponsoring a Child Ambassador means joining the Toybox family and changing the world for street children. Through your donations we can link you up with a child and their Toybox project. Twice a year, we update you on their progress and send you photos and a letter directly from your child in Latin America.

At Toybox, we believe that every child has the right to be listened to. This is why our sponsorship scheme goes beyond the ordinary. Every child on the sponsorship scheme is a Child Ambassador. They have been voted a Child Ambassador by their peers to represent their project. Every child, young toddlers to mature teenagers, has had their say.

We're proud of the way the scheme has grown from helping children in Guatemala, through Bolivia, Peru, El Salvador - and now into Nicaragua and beyond. We feel that the Child Ambassador Scheme is simply the best way to support children in the developing world - please do consider joining our work.
