Want to serve in Guatemala?

This summer presents an exciting opportunity to go and see the work of Toybox in action in Guatemala. Latin Link and Toybox have joined together to bring about the chance for a team to go to Guatemala city in August 2010 to spend 3 weeks being a part of the work of Toybox.

The Step team will be working primarily with children at high risk, taking part in activities and daily work with the children. Working alongside the El Castillo team, you will get to experience the work of Toybox first hand, as well as getting a very special glimpse into the lives of the children your support is directly impacting.

Whether you are a practical person, someone who would be happy just playing with the children, or someone who wants serve God in a new way, this journey will give you the opportunity of a lifetime. You will spend time with the children, get involved in the local communities and Churches and be directly involved in furthering the work of Toybox out in Latin America.

When and how much?

7th to 28th August 2010
Cost: £1850 (€2100)

The programme includes a weekend orientation before you leave, a chance to share your experiences at a debrief after you return, and the opportunity to spend time with the Toybox and Latin Link Britain and Ireland teams.

How to apply

If you would like to apply for this team, please fill in the application form, clearly stating you would like to be a part of this team, and we will be in touch as to the next stage of the selection process. There are limited places available, so allocations will be on a first-come-first-served basis.

Selection days will be in March, dates to be confirmed nearer the time. If you are not available during March, please contact us.

We hope to be able to facilitate more Step teams in the near future, so please contact us if you aren’t able to be a part of this team but would like to be a part of another in the future.
